A country gastro pub where traditional meets contemporary food. Renowned for it's fresh, homemade modern English food. Shirley is located on the A52 between Ashbourne & Derby (approx 6 miles from cottage) however well worth a visit. Pre-booking is necessary - exceptional food means it is always busy!

5 minutes drive from the cottage. For that very special occassion. Set in a Country House in very pleasant surroundings. Recently recommended by Michael Winner. Visited by Russell Crowe whilst filming the new Robin Hood movie filmed on Thorpe Pastures opposite Thorpe Cloud View Holiday Cottage.
